Ewa. I like the image a lot but don't like the heart and the word elderly in the background. otherwise old new york upper east or west side hair pearls glasses body language
Pearls -don't leave home without them! Elegant woman, very New York. I would pull out the green caused by florescent lights. I kind of like the oddity of seeing the word elderly pop up in the background, but hey, it can easily be photoshop'd out. Is that against the rules? To read a word, its annoying to some viewers as it is literal and concrete, an image is not read as a word, it is more open ended. Do words pop up in our mind as we scan an image? How do we read photos?
"My mother creates intimate ethereal moments with her photography that belie the medium. Whereas photography traditionally captures and crystallizes a specific moment in time, Ewa manages to expand time with her images, stretching the interstice of the photograph into a larger artistic and emotional space. At its best, her poetic and delicate work plays with the aesthetics of temporality – details of moments that take us into time, that take us out of time." ~Stefan
